 Yerevan Mayor, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of «National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia» foundation Taron Margaryan, together with the RA Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan visited “National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia” foundation, familiarized themselves with the facilities of the new laboratories and workshops provided with new technologies. Those presents were introduced theunmanned device Trimble UX5 purchased by the university recently. It was noted that the device is provided for rapid and safe collection of air data and pictures. It gives the opportunity to organize high level training and teaching processes during which a student can get education applying high technologies and program packages. The device will be used for territorial monitoring, mapping, surveying of archaeological excavations, construction research and in other spheres. It was also noted that the program package used with the device makes it possible to create 3D maps which can be used in data determination, land planning, surveying of linear objects and a number of other activities. Mayor Taron Margaryan and Minister ArmenAshotyan walked about the NUACA accompanied by the Rector of the university GagikGalstyan.
Presenting the details of the activities carried out in the university in two stages GagikGalstyan noted that in parallel with renovation activities all the infrastructures had been modernized, new furniture and other necessary appliances had been installed, new workshops for sculpture and design were opened, new chemistry andmaterials resistance laboratories had been constructed and saturated with high technology equipment and new auditoriums attached to them. According to the Rector, the work had been carried out with the assistance of NUACA foundation, Government, World Bank, organizations-members of the Union of Builders. Attaching particular importance to the large-scale activities carried out in the university and the creation of new laboratories and workshops provided with high technologies Yerevan Mayor, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of NUACA foundation Taron Margaryan stressed that it will have an important significance in making the process of education more available andsaturated.
Taron Margaryan also added that Yerevan Municipality would go on doing its best to solve the problems facing the university and to assist in the implementation of its programs.
