President Serzh Sargsyan received today Andrzej Kasprzyk, Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues pertaining to the current situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border and on Karabakh-Azerbaijani contact line.

The parties expressed their concern over the intensification of violations of the ceasefire regime.

President Serzh Sargsyan attached importance to the agreement reached by the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs on the mechanism for examination of incidents, stressing that it will allow avoiding such exacerbations of the situation and human losses. He positively appreciated the increase of observations conducted by the office of the personal representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office during such situations.

The interlocutors also touched upon Shant-2015 Military Strategic Command and Staff Exercises being held from 3 to 6 September and upon their objective.
