 On July 25 at the unit in Qanaqer-Zeytun the first youth competitions named “We are soldiers” organized by the joint initiative of Yerevan Council of RPA Youth Organization and “Union of spies” NGO were held.
The program was launched with a strikeball game. The teams of RPA Youth Organization, “Union of Spies”, Ashxarhazor Youth Educational NGO, as well as of the above mentioned unit participated in it. The match was organized by the support of the Armenian Strikeball Federation named after Movses Gorgisyan.
After the competition the young people had dinner with soldiers, got new acquaintances through direct contact, as well as formed a clearer understanding of daily lives of soldiers.
The same teams also participated in the intellectual game “What? Where? When?” organized within the frameworks of the program. The game was followed by a concert, at the end of which the results of the competitions were summed up and award ceremony was held.
In the warm atmosphere and as a result of a healthy competition the winner was the team of the above mentioned unit.
The Chairman of Yerevan Council of RPA Youth organization Armen Gevoryan mentioned that such kind of initiatives had a great contribution to strengthening relations between army and society. He expressed hope that such programs would be continuous.
