 Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan had a meeting with the Secretary General of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM). Members of the world and regional Scout movement delegations took part in the meeting as well. Greeting the guests the Mayor attached particular importance to the activity of the organization with the youth and noted that it gives the opportunity to bring up a patriotic, responsible and conscious generation.
“We always try to involve the representatives of the Armenian Scout Movement in the events organized by the Municipality of Yerevan and I should state that they always stand out with their organizational skills. The organization is also a member of the Urban Development Council adjunct to the Mayor of Yerevan and takes active part in various programs of citywide significance”, stressed Taron Margaryan.
Expressing gratitude for warm welcome the WOSM Secretary General Scott Teare also attached importance to the activity of the Scout Movement noting that Armenia has efficient and patriotic youth and taking into account the active cooperation with the Municipality of Yerevan he expressed confidence that it will develop and expand.
The member of the WOSM Committee Bagrat Yesayan highly appreciating the support and permanent attention of Mayor Taron Margaryan to the National Scout Movement of Armenia, stressed that it makes it possible to activate the Scout movement in the administrative districts of the capital and their direct participation in the projects of community significance.
Mayor Taron Margaryan once again assured that the Municipality of Yerevan is ready to show support to any initiatives which are targeted at the formation of healthy society.
