 Dear compatriots,
May 9 is a day of glorious victories for our people, it’s a double holiday and I heartily congratulate you on that event.
70 years ago our grandfathers once again proved with their heroism that nobody and nothing can defeat the soldier to defend his Motherland, home and hearth.Throughout its centuries-old history the peaceful Armenian nation has proved many times that it is always ready to fight against those who will threat our Homeland, who will try to disturb the peace of our people. The victory won in the Great Patriotic War evidences it.
I’m deeply convinced that it’s not a coincidence that inspired with the victories won by our hero grandfathers the native defenders won their heroic victory on May 9 – the day of deliberation of Shushi, the spiritual and cultural capital of Artsakh land. With this victory they wrote another heroic page in the history of Armenian nation and made this day a double holiday for all of us.
The Day of Victory is also a good opportunity to learn from history, it reminds us that everything must be done so as there will be no war again. And today, expressing our gratitude to our heroes and bowing our heads to the memory of the fallen, we state that nothing and nobody is forgotten.
