 The 10th jubilee championship “Armenian Diaspora Tennis Cup” has been held under the support of Yerevan Mayor.
Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan, the RA Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Gabriel Ghazaryan, the vice president of the Tennis Federation of Russia Vladimir Lazarev and the head of Yerevan Municipality representation in the capital of the RF Makar Nahapetyan who initiated the tournament, were present at the ceremony of opening.
Professional sportsmen from Russia, Armenia and other countries as well as a number of amateurs took part in the championship which has been held in Yerevan for the first time. 44 sportsmen of adult group in 22 pairs and 15 young men will compete for the cup.
Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan stressed the importance of organization and holding of the events aimed at the popularization of healthy lifestyle and wished the participants good luck and victory.
