PM Receives Canadian Businessmen

Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received a delegation of Canadian businessmen. The meeting was also attended by Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to Armenia H.E. Mr. John Ronald Kur and Honorary Consul Artashes Emin, Embassy representatives. The delegation arrived in the country to discuss ways of deepening trade and economic relations within the framework of the Armenian-Canadian Business Forum organized by the Armenia Development Foundation.
The Prime Minister welcomed Canadian businessmen’s visit to Armenia, noting that it would contribute to the strengthening of bilateral business ties and deepening of the Armenian-Canadian cooperation. On behalf of the members of the delegation, Ambassador Kur thanked the Premier for the reception and noted that Canadian businessmen are interested in investing in the country and had had productive discussions with local government agencies and the representatives of various sectors and had reached specific understandings.
Prime Minister Abrahamyan noted that in order to attract foreign investments the Government carries out permanent steps to improve the business environment, provide a favorable investment climate, create liberal tax conditions and is ready to contribute to any reasonable business project.
The parties praised the role of the Armenian community in Canada in different spheres of social and economic life and their important contribution to the development of multifaceted relations between the two countries.
