Republican Party of Armenia

 From 24 February to 1 March in Brussels the winter university on “The digital century” of “European Democrat Students” organization was held. The RPA representative Anna Ohanyan also participated in it.
“European Democrat Students” organization is a pan-European centre-right student and youth political association, and the official student organisation of the European People's Party. Founded in Vienna by Scandinavian, German and Austrian students in 1961, it represents over 1.600.000 students and young people in 36 member organisations from 31 countries in Europe, and is the largest youth organization in Europe.
The Republican Party of Armenia is the first one from Armenia that has had an opportunity to participate in the projects of “European Democrat Students” organization.
During the winter university participants held meetings with the Chairman of the European People’s Party Mr. Joezeph Daul and the Ex-President of the European Council Mr. Herman Van Rompuy.
It should be noted that the representative of the ruling party of Azerbaijan “New Azerbaijan” raised the question of his membership. But at the course of the program various discussions were held on violation of human rights in Azerbaijan and he cancelled his proposal. Resolution on “Human rights in Azerbaijan” condemning the violation of human rights in Azerbaijan was adopted at the meeting.
