RA National Assembly Discusses the Annual Report of the RA Control Chamber for 2013

On February 4 the parliament continued the work of the four-day sittings.
The deputies continued debating the RA draft law “On Amending the RA Law on Turnover Tax.”
In his final speech the Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Vardan Ayvazyan called on the deputies to work together, and taking into consideration the presented recommendations, improve the bill.
Summing up the discussion, the RA Deputy Minister of Finance Vakhtang Mirumyan has noted that the various recommendations sounded during the wide scale discussions once again confirm the necessity of the adoption of the draft law which will give an opportunity to find an effective solution to the settlement of the problem.
The parliament with 75 for, 1 against and 40 abstained passed the RA draft law “On Amending the RA Law on Turnover Tax.”
Then the deputies touched upon the issue of the formation of the Ad-hoc Accounting Committee of the seventh session NA fifth convocation. The NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan has informed that as a result of debates the NA factions have come to certain agreements, according to which, the Committee will comprise of 12 members: 6 from the RPA, 2 from the PAP, and one representative from other factions. The proposal was accepted.
The parliament debated the annual report of the RA Control Chamber (CoC) for 2013 which presented the CoC Council member Seyran Avagyan.
In his report the member of the NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs Sukias Avetisyan has noted that the deputies have deemed necessary to debate the CoC current reports.
The RA Minister of Science and Education Armen Ashotyan and the RA Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Artem Asatryan delivered extraordinary speeches.
The Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs talked about the cooperation with the CoC, considered important the debate of the CoC current reports.
The deputies from the NA Factions (Rubik Hakobyan from the Heritage, Heghine Bisharyan from the Rule of Law, Levon Zurabyan from the ANC, Naira Zohrabyan from the PAP) presented their views on the report under debate.
The deputies in the second reading debated the bills “On Amending the RA Law on Turnover Tax,” “On Amending the RA Law on Judicial Acts Compulsory Enforcement Service,” “On Amending the RA Law on Scientific and Research-Technical Activity,” “On Military-Industrial Complex.”
According to the established order of the NA Rules of Procedure, at the last sitting the members of the government answered the deputies’ questions.
