Eduard Sharmazanov Meets with the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Armenia

On January 29 the RA NA Deputy Speaker, Head of Armenia-Czech Republic Friendship Group Eduard Sharmazanov met with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the RA Petr Mikyska.
Welcoming the guest, Eduard Sharmazanov has noted that in the previous year the Armenian-Czech inter-parliamentary relations have effective procedure of the development, and the mutual visits of the two countries contributed to it. Mr Sharmazanov has expressed hope that in the current year those relations will further strengthen and expand. He has stressed that the year 2015 is an important one for the Armenian people: numerous events dedicated to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide in Armenia and abroad are scheduled. In this context Mr Sharmazanov thanked the Ambassador for expressing willingness in organizing an exhibition dedicated to the Armenian Genocide in the Czech Parliament.
The NA deputy Speaker has touched upon the cases of violation on the frontier and line of contact during the recent days by Azerbaijan. He has underlined that the last statement of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs has distinctly been addressed to Azerbaijan, remaining adherent to ceasefire preservation regime. Eduard Sharmazanov also has once again documented that the RA authorities see the solution of the NK problem exclusively by peaceful means, in the format of the OSCE Minsk Group with three Co-Chairs. In the NA Deputy Speaker’s word, the realization of the Artsakh people’s right to self-determination has no alternative.
The interlocutors discussed issues relating to the development of the Armenian-Czech parliamentary relations, the activation of the mutual visits of the parliamentary delegations.
Petr Mikyska highly assessed the friendly relations formed between the two countries and in this context emphasized the development of the inter-parliamentary cooperation.
