 On the event of the New Year and Christmas Mayor Taron Margaryan received the representatives of the sphere of culture and other spheres of urban economy. Wishing them a Happy New Year the Mayor highly appreciated their contribution and expressed gratitude for the large-scale effective work and achievements gained in 2014.

I am confident that next year we must work with the same enthusiasm and devotion for the sake of welfare of Yerevan and Yerevanians. Devoted work, mutual confidence, diligence and contribution of each of us will make Yerevan better. I wish you a Happy New Year full of happiness, love and peace. And let the year of 2015 bring peace and welfare to our country, our capital and our families", stressed Mayor Taron Margaryan.
For the achieved success, significant contribution and long activity in the sphere of health care of Yerevan the memorial medal «Argishti I» was awarded to the director of the medical center "Surb Grigor Lusavorich", doctor of medicine, professor Ara Minasyan. For significant state and public activity in Yerevan, many-year devoted work the director of CJSC "Armwaterproject Institute" Yuri Javadyan was awarded with Argishti I» medal.
On the occasion of the New Year and Christmas, for popularization of classical music and significant contribution to the cultural life of Yerevan the art leader and chief conductor of the State Philharmonic Orchestra of Armenia Edward Topchyan, composer Stepan Rostomyan were awarded with Yerevan Mayor's gold medal.
For the service for the sake of Yerevan and many-year devoted work Yerevan Mayor's gold medal was awarded to the deputy chairman of the Union of Land Defenders "Yerkrapah" captain Khachik Mkrtchyan. For the significant contribution to the sphere of health care the manager general of MC "Shengavit".chief obstetrician-gynecologist of Yerevan Sergey Urumyan was also awarded with Yerevan Mayor's gold medal. Yerevan Mayor's gold medal was awarded to the doctor rheumatologist of the policlinic of the MC "Grigor Lusavorich" Sarya Yesayan. For the contribution to the cultural life of the capital composer, musician Vahan Artsruni was awarded with medal "Honorary art worker of Yerevan". For the contribution and many-year activity in the sphere of sport the coach of the Armenian national team of gymnastics Hakob Serobyan was awarded with medal "Honorary sport worker of Yerevan".
For the contribution to the sphere of pedagogy and upbringing and many-year activity a group of teachers was awarded with honorary diplomas of the Mayor of Yerevan. Having thanked the Mayor of Yerevan for appreciation those awarded confessed that the award makes them feel more obliged to contribute to the development of the capital.
Taron Margaryn assured that in 2015 the Municipality of Yerevan following its policy will continue all the programs aimed at Yerevan development and welfare of the residents of the capital.
