Armenia-Uruguay Cooperation Development Agenda Discussed

 Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received Vice President of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay, Senate Speaker Danilo Astori.

Welcoming the high-ranking guest to the Office of Government, the Prime Minister said visits like that help develop and expand bilateral relations.

Pleased with the high-level political interaction between Armenia and Uruguay, Hovik Abrahamyan stressed the need for closer economic ties. Thankful for the reception, Danilo Astori expressed readiness to possibly promote multifaceted cooperation between the two friendly countries. In this context, the parties pointed to the need of holding an Armenia-Uruguay business forum to give a new impetus to mutual investment, trade turnover and joint projects.

Referring to the long-standing friendship between the two peoples, Hovik Abrahamyan thanked the Uruguayan authorities for their warm attitude toward the Armenian community. For his part, Danilo Astori praised the Armenian community for their valuable contribution to his country’s overall development and said that effectively involved in different sectors, they are promoting Uruguay’s well-being.
