The cooperation between Yerevan and the cities of France is expanding

 Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan had a meeting with the newly=appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Armenia Jean-Francois Charpentier.. Congratulating the Ambassador on starting his diplomatic mission in Armenia the Mayor expressed hope that the warm and friendly relations established between Yerevan and the cities of France will get more effective development.
"The city of Yerevan is a member of the international Association of the Mayors of Francophonie and I should state that we cooperate with a number of big French cities: Paris, Marseille, Lyon, Nice, with the regional Council of Ile de France. We attach importance to the role of the Ambassador of France to Armenia and the Ambassador of Armenia to France in the context of Armenian-French cooperation development and I am confident, Mister Ambassador, that you will have significant contribution to the development of cooperation with French partner cities and regions in various spheres", stressed the Mayor.
Expressing gratitude to Mayor Taron Margaryan for friendly welcome and the willingness to expand cooperation with the French cities the Ambassador the France to the RA Jean-Francois Charpentier noted that he is willing to assist in strengthening bilateral ties within his powers.
«Your approaches to urban economy management are agreeable and I assure you, Mister Mayor, that I will do my best within my powers to contribute to bilateral cooperation including implementation of economic programs and development of educational, cultural and tourism spheres՞, said the Ambassador.
At the end of the meeting Mayor Taron Margaryan wished Jean-Francois Charpentier success in his responsible office and stressed once gain that the Municipality attaches importance to stimulation of successful cooperation with partner cities and within its powers is ready to expand the interaction with the French cities.
