 On October 23 RA NA President Galust Sahakyan received the Delegation of the All-China Women’s Federation headed by Yu Hongqiu, member of the All-China Assembly of the People’s Representatives of the People’s Republic of China (PRC), the Deputy Chair of the All-China Women’s Federation and the member of the Secretariat.

Welcoming the guests the RA NA President Galust Sahakyan highlighted the deepening of relations with the People’s Republic of China in different spheres, particularly the strengthening and development of the inter-parliamentary ties. To his assessment, the extension and deepening of mutually beneficial cooperation in the public, political, economic and cultural spheres will promote the reinforcement of cooperation between Armenia and China and the activation of contacts between the two peoples. Mr Sahakyan highlighted the women MPs’ active contacts of the two countries, which in its turn will be an impetus for the rapprochement of bilateral ties and will give an opportunity for the implementation of joint programmes.

The Head of the delegation Yu Hongqiu presented their mission, problems and priorities, the opportunities of cooperation and programmes to be implemented.

In the course of the meeting the priorities and perspectives of the national programmes inclined to the solution of women’s problems in the two countries were presented and discussed, and women’s involvement in the public-political life was highlighted, and other issues were also highlighted.
