 The issues related to the charity programs being implemented in the capital by Baden-Wurttemberg regional organization of the German Red Cross were discussed during the meeting of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan with the representative of the mentioned organization Carl-Heintz Schaide.
Attaching particular importance to cooperation expansion with the German Red Cross and to the implementation of programs of social significance Mayor Taron Margaryan expressed gratitude to the organization for the charity program being carried out in the capital and for the important humanitarian mission. “Social programs are among the priorities of the Municipality and we are always ready to show corresponding support. I assure you that the Municipality of Yerevan will go on supporting within its powers in the implementation of the programs of social significance initiated by your organization”, said Taron Margaryan. Expressing gratitude for warm welcome the representative of Baden-Wurttemberg regional organization Carl-Heintz Schaide noted that their successful cooperation with the Municipality would be carried on. “Charity becomes more targeted when there is active support of the local self-government bodies, particularly when the Mayor personally benefits to its successful implementation. The Municipality is a reliable partner for us and this fact is proved by the support that the Municipality of Yerevan has shown and is showing to the implementation of social programs”, said Carl-Heintz Schaide.
During the meeting the parties also referred to the opening of the 21st regular “Charity kitchen” functioning under the German Red Cross organization which took place on October 22. It should be noted that about 400 beneficiaries benefit from this program of social significance which is co-financed by the Municipality of Yerevan.
