 The preparations for the celebration of “Erebuni-Yerevan 2796” have been mainly over. The program of social support being implemented within the frames of festive events is going on. Since September 30 up today social support has been shown to 1869 families of the 2796 anticipated ones. This was reported during the regular working conference in the City Hall. Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed to submit proposals regarding implementation of other programs of social significance for the next year. “Erebuni-Yerevan” celebration is becoming more and more large-scale including increasing number of projects, the delegations visiting Yerevan to take part in the celebrations. This year we expect about 40 delegations from different cities. All the events provided for within the frames of the celebration, including holding the conference “Yerevan 2025” are of big significance for our city that is why such programs should become traditional”, stressed Taron Margaryan.
The head of the Department of Building and Improvement reported that asphalting and overhauling of the streets is going on in accordance with the determined schedule. The Mayor instructed the head of the administrative districts to visit the spots in person and to set control over the quality of work. “Set strict control and be consistent over all the programs of building and improvement including road construction, asphalting or overhauling in educational and cultural centers. For each of us the quality of the work done is to be a matter of hour, nobody has the right to put up with low quality work or admit it. The process of accepting the reports on the work done is going on till the end of the year and I demand maximal punctuality from all persons in charge. Visit all the building sites of the objects which are going to be put into operation, assess the work done together with specialists and in case of any defect don’t accept the work till the defects have been eliminated. The strongest measures are to be taken over those who did the work of bad quality and pass the cases to corresponding bodies”, said Mayor Taron Margaryan.
Regarding the overhauling activities in health care, educational and cultural establishments within the program of building and improvement provided for 2014 it was reported that in 3 medical establishments and in 12 libraries the process had been completed. The mayor instructed to organize corresponding actions in all administrative districts on the Day of Librarians, October 7. It was also reported that improvement of yard areas and installation of playgrounds are still going on. In particular, it was reported that 220 playgrounds and 41 sportsgrounds had already been installed.
Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed to carry out preparations for the citywide tree planting and clean-up on Saturday, November 8 and to involve in this activities both the organizations subordinated to the Municipality and the state and private establishments, interested organizations.
