Prime Minister Welcomes Kuwaiti Parliamentary Delegation

 Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received a Kuwaiti parliamentary delegation led by Armenian-Kuwaiti Parliamentary Friendship Group Coordinator Faisal Fahd Al Shaya.

Welcoming the guests, the Prime Minister stressed the need to develop and expand bilateral relations. Highlighting the fact that the two countries are bound by cordial ties of friendship, Hovik Abrahamyan said, “The Government of Armenia is eager to build on the trade and economic ties and implement various investment projects. In view of the above, we are prepared to provide Kuwaiti equity capital with a favorable investment environment in Armenia.”

Faisal Fahd Al Shaya conveyed warm greetings on behalf of the Kuwaiti Prime Minister and an official invitation for Hovik Abrahamyan to visit his country. According to the head of the Armenian-Kuwaiti parliamentary friendship group, reciprocated visits may give a strong boost to the Armenian-Kuwaiti cooperation.

Stressing his country’s interest in the development of trade and economic relations, Faisal Fahd Al Shaya made a point of closer cooperation between the two chambers of commerce and business forums.

The parties expressed conviction that there is great potential for cooperation in agriculture, industry, tourism and other fields. They stressed the importance of direct flights between Armenia and Kuwait.

Faisal Fahd Al Shaya said the Kuwaiti government is ready to support the construction of the New Aleppo residential district.
