Noravank Foundation’s Enhanced Efficiency Discussed

 Chaired by Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan, Noravank Educational Foundation’s Board of Trustees met today in the Office of Government.

The agenda featured discussion of the report on the Foundation’s five-year activities for 2009-2014. Noravank Foundation’s Executive Director Gagik Haroutunyan reported back those activities carried out in the period under review by the Foundation’s Armenian study, political and information centers related to national security and Diaspora affairs.

In 2009-2014 these themes were treated through 31 books, 4 special reports, 134 monthlies, 600 expert articles, 9 international conferences and 59 workshops. Noravank Foundation’s employees have made 123 reports at symposia held in different countries. The Board of Trustees approved the report.

The meeting approved Gagik Harutyunyan’s candidacy as Executive Director. Hovik Abrahamyan congratulated Gagik Harutyunyan and encouraged to work more efficiently.

The Prime Minister stressed the importance of researches and studies based on the discoveries of not only problems, but also the development and presentation of proposals and recommendations. The meeting also discussed the areas, approaches in Noravank Foundation’s activities, as well as a number of issues concerning the revision of the composition of the Board of Trustees.

The Prime Minister instructed to discuss and make recommendations in a working group format by this September on improving the efficiency of the Foundation.
