Mayor Taron Margaryan watched the process of building improvement

 During his visit to Shengavit district Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan watched the process of implementation of the Municipality program of 2014. Accompanied by the head of the district Taron Margaryan visited Artashisyan street 44/4a,44/5 as well as Frunze 8 and 10. The persons in charge presented the details of the work to the Mayor pointing out that within the frames of improvement program the mentioned areas will be provided with bowers, benches, playing attractions as well as with new sport equipment. Attaching particular attention to the participation of the residents in the programs Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed to hear out the suggestions and opinions of the residents while implementing the process of improvement. “Both in the issue f improvement of gardens and parks and yard areas our policy is firm: residents’ opinions should be always taken into account. We should never forget that everything is done for the convenience of the residents. There are cases when hearing out to residents’ suggestions we make changes in the drafts on spot thus making the area more convenient for management”, stressed the Mayor. Taking the opportunity the residents expressed their pleasure for initiating improvement in the areas which had stayed badly arranged for years. Taron Margaryan once again assured that that in the future all the yards of the capital would become well-arranged.
Then Mayor Taron Margaryan visited Yeghbaurutyan street in Shengavit. This street was included in this year’s improvement programs of the Municipality by the suggestion of the residents. Within the scope of the program the sidewalks along the street were improved and landscaped. Benches and dustbins were placed. At the moment of the visit the employees of the landscaping companies were carrying out landscaping. The persons in charge reported the Mayor that the process was going on in accordance with the schedule.
Mayor Taron Margaryan stressed that the residents would assess the work done so the quality of the work should be under everyday control. While watching the activities in Yeghbayrutyan street the Mayor didn’t refuse the request of an elderly 87-year-old pensioner and visited her flat, talked to Mrs Margarita, familiarized himself with her problems. Wishing her strong health the Mayor instructed the head of the district to keep the problems of the lonely woman at the focus of attention.
Within the frames of the visit Mayor Taron Margaryan also got acquainted with the repairing process in the library N17. Expressing gratitude to the Mayor for the policy directed at the improvement of the conditions in libraries the workers of the library said that as a result of improvement of the conditions in the libraries the number of visitors will increase. The Mayor assured that this program will be long-lasting and convenient conditions will be provided in all libraries of the capital.
