 Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan was present at the solemn ceremony of unveiling the monument to the RA national hero Movses Gorgisyan. The monument has been placed in the newly built recreation zone in Charbakh quarter of Shengavit district which is named after the national hero. The monument was created by sculpture Levon Tokmajyan. The honour of opening was given to Mayor Taron Margaryan and to Movses Gorgisyans widow, Ruzanna Gorgisyan. The members of Movses Gorgisyan family, martial friends and townspeople were present at the ceremony. Expressing gratitude to the Mayor of Yerevan for the support in the issue of placement of the monument the members of the hero’s family noted that the recreation zone had become a beloved place for the residents of the area and it was very important to place the monument in such a lively place. It should be noted that this recreation area in Charbakh was well-arranged within the frames of the Municipality program of complex yard improvement of 2013. This recreation zone was built just within a few months in the area occupied about 6000 sq m. Taking the opportunity the residents of the yard once again thanked the Mayor fro the work done and for systematic attention paid to the remote districts.
