 On July 2 the RA NA President Galust Sahakyan received Ivan Kukhta, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to the RA.

Highly assessing the Armenian-Ukrainian friendly relations, the NA President highlighted the further development and deepening of the inter-parliamentary relations and the bilateral contacts. Galust Sahakyan emphasized the role of the Armenian and Ukrainian communities in the rapprochement of the Armenian-Ukrainian relations. The NA President expressed concern about the tough political situation in Ukraine, expressing hope that the existing problems would be solved in a peaceful and comprehensive way.

Congratulating Galust Sahakyan on being elected the NA President, Ambassador Kukhta noted that Ukraine is interested in developing and strengthening the relations with Armenia. He deemed important the further deepening of the inter-parliamentary relations, as well as the development of cooperation in different spheres.

At the meeting the sides also discussed other issues.
