 The issues related to the activities of the medical establishments of Yerevan were discussed during the meeting of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan with the RA Minister of Health Care Armen Muradyan and with the heads of the medical establishments of the capital. Congratulating those present on the Day of Medical Workers Mayor Taron Margaryan expressed hope that the rates of the sphere would be increased. Referring to the problems existing in the sphere and to future programs the Mayor of Yerevan noted that the priority task of medical establishments is to provide proper service of the residents. “Together with the Minister we discussed all problems and our attitudes both to solving the mentioned problems and to general development of the sphere. Our policy in this issue is firm and unchanging. Our main requirement was and is proper service of the residents. Moreover, it should be taken into account that policlinics are the first link of communication of the patients with the sphere and taking into account the fact that the majority of patients are socially unstable it is very important to free them from extra problems and no to create new ones”, stressed Taron Margaryan.
Referring to the policy of the Municipality and to the implemented activities Mayor Taron Margaryan also noted that the Municipality of Yerevan is realizing purposeful programs of renovation of medical establishments subordinated to the Municipality and modernization of medical equipment.
Within the scope of the conference in the City Hall the RA Minister of Health Care Armen Muradyan in his turn stressed the importance of the policy of the Municipality and of the realization of joint projects and added that the medical establishments are to work in accordance with the common principle which will make their work more effective and targeted. The heads of the medical establishments of the capital thanked for permanent assistance and introduced their attitudes related to the improvement of the sphere as well as received the answers to their questions. Stressing the importance of providing proper service in medical establishments, Mayor Taron Margaryan noted, "We certainly have progress in the sphere of health care but we should not stop there. As I have already said we expect proper service and friendly treatment to the patients. The control over this matter will bi strict and in case of complaints from the residents we will take appropriate measures", stressed Taron Margaryan.
