At the Sitting of the Armenian-Russian Friendship Parliamentary Club

 On June 23 in the National Assembly the sixth sitting of the Armenian-Russian Friendship Parliamentary Club on “The Eurasian Economic Union: the Advantages and Perspectives” was held. The sitting was moderated by The NA deputy Hayk Babukhanyan and the RF former Ambassador to Armenia Vyacheslav Kovalenko. The NA deputies Artak Davtyan, Armen Karapetyan, Tachat Vardapetyan, the deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Boris Reznik, Vasily Likhachyov, Administrative and Finance Director of Eurasian Business Council Oleg Velikoredchanin, Head of the Centre for Integration Studies from the Eurasian Development Bank Mikhail Demidenko, Section Head in the Development Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission Zoya Morochkova and guests took part in the discussion.

Before the beginning of the discussion the guests laid flowers in the National Assembly Park, at the memorial eternalizing the memory of the October 27 crime victims.

The Armenian and Russian parliamentarians have highlighted the meetings in such format, noting that they give an opportunity to discuss numerous issues regarding Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union. The guests presented the expecting positive developments in different spheres, which Armenia would have after the integration.

At the sitting the sides discussed issues of mutual interest within the framework of the Eurasian integration process and joint programmes and touched upon regional issues.
