 On June 3 the NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov received Erikas Petrikas, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to the Republic of Armenia, and Šarūnas Marčiulionis, the Lithuanian basketball player and Olympic champion.

Eduard Sharmazanov highly assessed Šarūnas Marčiulionis’ contribution to the development of the Lithuanian basketball, and he was distinguished with his mastery and gave a lot of moments of admiration to him, to the numerous amateurs and fans of this sport. The NA Deputy Speaker pleasantly surprised Šarūnas Marčiulionis with well awareness of his activity and basketball, in general.

Šarūnas Marčiulionis informed the attendees that the next day he would meet with the youth attending Schools of Basketball in Armenia and he would hold courses and get acquainted with their skills.
In the course of the meeting the sides also discussed issues connected with the perspectives of the development and cooperation of the Armenian and Lithuanian cultural and sport relations.
