 On May 20 the RA NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan received Zdzisław Raczyński, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Poland to the RA. The Head of Armenia-Poland Friendship Group Hovhannes Sahakyan attended the meeting.

In the name of the political leadership of Poland and him the Ambassador congratulated Galust Sahakyan on the occasion of being elected the NA Speaker and conveyed the best wishes of the Speakers of Sejm and Senate and the official invitation to take part on June 4 in Warsaw in the celebrations of the 25th anniversary of holding the first free elections in Poland.

Thanking for the congratulations and the invitation the NA Speaker has highly assessed the level of the political dialogue existing between the two countries and has noted that all preconditions are available for the further development and deepening of bilateral and multilateral relations. “The Armenian and Polish peoples’ friendship and cooperation have a history of centuries, and it creates a good basis for the development of today’s inter-state relations,” the NA Speaker noted.

During the meeting the sides highlighted the further development of the inter-parliamentary relations, the cooperation in different spheres and also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
