Dear compatriots,

I cordially congratulate all of us on Family Day.

We have always highly appreciated family values and traditions, family relationship and upbringing. Among state holidays Family Day has affirmed by law the firm memory and special attitude, which we have towards family. It means respect towards scores of unwritten moral laws, thanks to which the Armenian family has been and remains through centuries a warm and intimate environment, hospitable home and a close corner in a big world. And it is natural that numerous elements of our mental shaping and system of values arise just from the family.

Love, faithfulness towards family and devotion to family values are adequate to the feelings that we cherish towards Motherland. As our history has shown, we have equally fought both for the family and Motherland, considering both to be sacred and undeniable values.

On the occasion of this warm and all-human holiday I would like to convey my best wishes especially to large families. I wish to express my deep gratitude to those families, which have adopted a child, creating a caring environment for them. I thank the young and newly formed families, which provide a reliable perspective of the nation and the country.

I wish family warmth and composure, peace and welfare to all the families, parents and sons.
