13.05.2014
On May 13 the RA NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan received the delegation of the Committee on Petitions of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic led by Zuzka Bebarová-Rujbrová. The Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Head of Armenia-Czech Republic Parliamentary Friendship Group Eduard Sharmazanov attended the meeting.
Mrs Bebarová-Rujbrová conveyed the congratulations by Jan Hamacek, Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, to Galust Sahakyan on the occasion being elected in the NA Speaker’s post.
Thanking for the congratulations Galust Sahakyan has noted that Armenia is concerned about the development of comprehensive cooperation with the Czech Republic, continuity of the political dialogue, deepening of inter-parliamentary relations, enlargement of trade-economic ties and activation of human contacts. To the NA Speaker’s conviction, the Czech parliamentarians’ visit will be an additional stimulus in the Armenian-Czech relations and in the development of inter-parliamentary cooperation. “I am sure that the cooperation based on the friendly relations between the parliaments of the two countries will more strengthen and develop for the benefit of our countries,” Galust Sahakyan said.
The Czech MPs also deemed important the further development of the cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries and the deepening of cooperation with different formats. To their conviction, the bilateral effective cooperation is also conditioned by the centuries-old friendship of the Armenian and Czech cooperation in international structures.
In the course of the meeting the sides also discussed other issues.
