NA President Meets with the Students

On May 13 within the framework of Open Doors programme the RA NA President Galust Sahakyan met with the students of the RA Public Administration Academy. Let us note that before the meeting the students attended the NA extraordinary sitting and followed the legislative work.

The NA President Galust Sahakyan has welcomed the students’ visit to the parliament, noting that it is important for him to meet the students, listen to their viewpoints, as they are the bearers of the country’s future. Touching upon the peculiarities of the parliamentary work, Mr Sahakyan has noted that the National Assembly is a structure where different political forces debate and introduce their principles and ideology, as a result of which, the further policy of the state comes to conclusion.

During the warm and intimate talk the NA President answered to the students’ questions and touched upon numerous problems. Answering to the student’s question relating to the amendments being proposed to the law “On Accumulating Pensions,” Galust Sahakyan has noted that the RA authorities take into consideration the demands of the society and try to make amendments, which will enjoy the appreciation of the society. He assured them that positive solutions would be. And to the question if it was expedient to pass to 12-year education system, Mr Sahakyan answered that it was conditioned by the integration of the international educational systems and the reforms being made in the system of general education.

At the students’ request the Head of the parliament also touched upon the amendment of the administration model being recommended by the draft of the constitutional reform concept, the success of the registered parliamentarism since the independence and other questions concerning the students.

At the end of the meeting in the NA Session Hall the students had been taken photos with the NA President Galust Sahakyan.
