Working Meeting at the NA Standing Committee

On May 8 the Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs Elinar Vardanyan met with the representatives of the Child Protection Network.
During the working meeting the guests have touched upon their activities, presented the strategy and priorities of the structure, noting that their main problem is the settlement of the gaps existing in the sphere of the child’s protection. They referred to the problems of providing individual care to up to three-year old children, the children under trustees, custody and adoption, the state support given to the graduates of the orphanages. It was proposed to create services fulfilling supporting preventive function to the families.
The Committee Chair Elinar Vardanyan has noted that the abovementioned problems are permanently under debate in the Committee. She proposed to organize parliamentary hearings for discussing the problems and recommendations of those responsible for the sphere.
