By the decision of the RA NA Acting Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov, under the Article 70 of the RA Constitution, on the initiative of the deputies of the National Assembly, on April 28 the National Assembly convened an extraordinary sitting by the initiator’s established order.

The Chairman of the Ad-hoc Accounting Committee Sukias Avetisyan introduced the agenda item: the NA decision draft law “On Amending the Decision on the Order of the Formation of the Ad-hoc Accounting Committee of the fifth session of the fifth convocation of the RA National Assembly.” He noted that it was proposed to make the number of the Ad-hoc Accounting Committee members from 11 into 12, giving the RPA 7, the PAP 2 and other factions - one place each.

The opposition factions mentioned that they would not take part in the works of the Accounting Committee, and the ARF, ANC, Heritage and PAP factions announced that they also would not take part in the voting of the draft decision.

In his extraordinary speech the NA Acting Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov has noted that if some colleagues do not want to take part in the works of the Ad-hoc Accounting Committee, it is their problem. Mr Sharmazanov noted that the people had elected the deputies not for speaking in a nice way, but for working and passing laws.

At the end of the sitting the parliament by voting passed the NA draft decision.

Exhausting the agenda the National Assembly ended the work of the extraordinary sitting.
