Support shown to the resident of Yerevan survived in the Genocide

On the instruction of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan, on the event of the 99th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide some visits were organized by the Department of Social Welfare to the residents of Yerevan survived in the Genocide and corresponding social support was rendered to them. Unfortunately, their number is decreasing year by year and today only 12 people survived in the Genocide are living in the capital.

“Our fellow citizens survived in the Genocide are at the focus of permanent attention. Throughout the year, on various occasions, we regularly visit them, show corresponding support. And the visits on April 24 are traditional”, said the head of the Department of Social Welfare Ruzanna Zakaryan. Conveying the Mayor of Yerevan their gratitude for permanent attention the Genocide survivors stressed that the caring attitude shown throughout the year is even more important than allowance
