Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Armenia Tian Changchun.

Congratulating Hovik Abrahamyan on assuming the office of Prime Minister of Armenia, the Ambassador said to be ready to work closely on various programs. Hovik Abrahamyan stressed Armenia’s commitment to building on the wealth of friendly ties with China. In this context, the interlocutors discussed a number of issues pertaining to bilateral relationship.

Tian Changchun took the opportunity to convey Chinese Premier Li Keqiang’s congratulatory message, which reads in part, “I highly appreciate the fact that for a long time now you have been endeavoring toward the development of Armenia-China relations, making a valuable contribution to the progress of bilateral cooperation. The Chinese side attaches great importance to the furtherance of the Armenian-Chinese ties. I am prepared to join you in a bid to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation in all fields to the benefit of our countries and peoples.”
