PM Congratulates Police Staff on Professional Holiday

On Police Day, Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan took part in a ceremonious gathering dedicated to the 96th anniversary of Armenian Police.
Congratulating the Police staff on their professional holiday, the Premier praised the approaches and the reforms implemented in the system of Police.
“You are well aware that our society has great expectations from the police. I can see the difference, the progress you are making and the public’s increased confidence in policeman. It is a great pride and honor for you and I am urging you to continue with your dignified mission,” Hovik Abrahamyan said.
The head of government assured that the government will support any initiative aimed at improving the police system so that it earns greater public confidence.
On the occasion of Police Day, and for valuable contribution to operational activities to the benefit of public order, Hovik Abrahamyan handed in the Premier’s commemorative medals to Criminal Investigation General Department Head, Police Major-General Aram Zakharyan, Head of Police Legal Department, Police Lieutenant-Colonel Meruzhan Hakobyan and Deputy Chief of Police Headquarters, Head of International Cooperation Department, Police Colonel Hovhannes Poghosyan.
