 With the aim of elimination of the consequences of the heavy snowfall appeared on March 30 the Department of Communal Services of the Municipality and the special operative headquarters jointly with the communal services of the administrative districts go on snow cleaning in the administrative districts. This was reported during the regular working conference. Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed the persons in charge to carry out snow cleaning activities not only in the central streets but in the secondary ones, pavements and yard areas as well. Taking the opportunity the Mayor expressed gratitude to all the structures and services which rapidly responded to the situation and concentrating necessary efforts coordinated the activities effectively.The head of the Department of Health Care reported that during the previous day the Ambulance served 583 calls and only one of them was because of the heavy snowfall. It was reported that within the frames of “For you, women” medical action 20225 women had applied to the municipality subordinated policlinics within this period. After various examinations 1688 women were directed to operation and 533 of them had already been operated on. Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed to go on everyday control to ensure the proper implementation of the process.
Referring to the applications received from the residents by “One Window” system Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed to provide proper responses within determined time. Particularly, in March, because of some applications addressed to the Municipality and to the staffs of the administrative districts being late the Mayor applied written reprimand to the Staff Secretary of the Municipality. The heads of the administrative districts of Kentron, Erebuni, Arabkir and Nor Nork were assigned to reprimand the staff secretaries of the administrative districts.”The applications received from the residents must be responded within the determined time. Besides, it is inacceptable for me when it is obvious from the very beginning the applications are wrongly addressed to the Municipality but the residents still have to wait for the respond. When the application is not within the Municipality jurisdiction the answer should be given at once so that the resident wouldn’t waste his time. Otherwise we might lose the confidence of the residents, anyone should realize it. I’ll control this process in person and I’ll be very strict towards all persons in charge who may be late with the responses to the residents’ applications”, said Taron Margaryan.
It was reported that to meet the instruction of the Mayor of Yerevan Children’s railway and its area leading to the tunnel had been equipped with video cameras. Besides, the system of night lighting in the mentioned areas has been updated.
The head of the Department of Revenue Accounting and Taxation reported that the community budget performance regarding income collection in the first quarter of 2014 made up 102 %, which is an unprecedented rate. Mayor Taron Margaryan highly appreciated the work done and encouraged to go on working with the same enthusiasm. “The rates of property tax and local duties collection have doubled in the recent years. This is a result of the systematic work of all subdivisions providing revenue accounting. Making the performance in this area 102% is an excellent proof of it. As a result of accurate and effective management of financial inflows we are able today not only to provide revenue accounting performance but to expand the volumes of the activities being carried out by means of the community budget”, stressed the Mayor.
It was reported that there had been no entries to the competition announced for the companies carrying out regular passenger transportation by public transport vehicles had been submitted. It was also reminded that their deadline is April 2.
