Modern State’s Most Important Task Is To Create Effective Educational System

Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan met with the participants of “Education, science and economics in universities and schools: integration in cross-border educational space” international symposium in Tsakhkadzor.
Welcoming the conference on behalf of the Government, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of events like this, since they are an opportunity to discuss topical issues and get the views of prominent scholars on possible challenges. The Premier emphasized that amid rapid changes going on worldwide, remedy should be sought together in order to find the best possible solutions.
In this regard, the Prime Minister introduced the fundamental problems facing modern science stressing the need to develop and apply new tools. “Today’s transformations are drastically changing people’s behavior. Intellectual activity and the application of new knowledge becomes a priority, which means that the educational system should catch up with the ongoing rapid changes. An effective educational system is the most important task of the modern State. If we manage to build it, we will have a modern society in a few years,” Tigran Sargsyan said.
Noting that one of the Government’s most important functions is to provide the citizens with the potential necessary for self-realization, the Premier said that the integration with the Eurasian economic space is seen as a means to achieve the aforementioned conditions, because the CU-member countries share the same vision and values.
“We are confident that our joint efforts will be crowned with success. Integration programs aim to promote contacts between citizens,” the head of government noticed.
According to Tigran Sargsyan, Armenia’s joining the European integration process was due to many factors: “Our decision was based on the cultural characteristics of our countries and peoples, national security, economic efficiency and so on. We have taken into account several factors.” Then, the Prime Minister answered a few questions from conference participants.
Note that scheduled for March 24-29, the forum brings together scholars from Poland, Latvia, Greece, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia and other countries.
