 At the meeting convened on March 18 the Council of Elders of Yerevan unanimously confirmed the drafts decisions on the placement of memorial boards commemorating the eminent Armenian secret-service agent, the hero of the Soviet Union Gevorg Vardanyan; the member of the Union of Writers of Armenia, the poet, playwright, publicist, translator, laureate of many awards Mikael Harutyunyan and the statesman and politician, general-lieutenant Haykaz Shahinyan.
The Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Vahe Nikoyan submitted the report on the budget implementation of 2013, according to which the factual budget incomes of Yerevan in 2013 made up AMD 63,667,925,2 thousand which is by 11,2% more than the rates of 2012. The factual performance for incomes made up AMD 17,03,946.6 thousand which is by 5.7% more than in 2012. It was mentioned that total expenditures of the budget means in 2013 made up AMD 62.161,662.3 thousand.
After the discussion 36 members of the Council of Elders voted for, 4 ones against and 16 ones abstained the report of the budget implementation of 2013.
The Council of Elders also approved of the decisions on the alienation for free use of the flat to the Honorary Art Worker of the RA, the laureate of the state award of the RA, the member-correspondent of Petersburg Academy of Science and Art, director of the RA NA Institute of Art, doctor of art science,professor Ararat Aghasyan, as well as to the former president of the executive committee of Yerevan city council, bearer of the order «Saint Mesrop Mashtots», the president of the benevolent non-government organization «Gyumri-rebirth»,Honorary Citizen of Paris, Gyumri and Yerevan Murad Muradyan and his wife Ninel Asatryan.
The rest items on the agenda were approved by the Council of Elders as well. At the end of the meeting the Mayor of Yerevan and the representatives of the staff of the Municipality answered the questions of the members of the Council.
The next meeting of the Council of Elders is to take place on April 30.
