 Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan handed the keys to new flats to the RA Honorary Art Worker, laureate of the RA state award, member-correspondent of Saint Petersburg Academy of Science and Art, director of Institute of Art of the RA NAS, doctor of art science, professor Ararat Aghasyan and to the former chairman of the executive committee of the City Council of Yerevan, order-bearer of ''Saint Mesrop Mashtots'', president of the benevolent non-government organization ''Gyumri-rebirth'', Honorary Citizen of Paris, Gyumri and Yerevan Murad Muradyan.
Congratulating them on the event Mayor Taron Margaryan highly appreciated their personal contribution both in Armenian culture and in the issue of Yerevan development. ''This is the second year we have granted flats under the support of the President of the Republic to our eminent and distinguished citizens who really need it. I assure you that this policy of great social significance will be long lasting and, God grant, it will be possible to provide their own roof for all our prominent citizens who have such a problem'', stressed Taron Margaryan. Murad Muradyan and Ararat Aghasyan expressed gratitude for appreciation and noted that they are really delighted with this decision of the city authorities as it was long-expected.
We'd like to note that the decision of granting the community-owned flats to Ararat Aghasyan and Murad Muradyan was taken at the meeting of the Council of Elders convened on March 19.
