 Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan had a meeting with the delegation headed by the president of the Chamber of Trade and Industry of Armenia Martin Sargsyan. Stressing the role of the structure in the issue of formation economic ties in Armenia and abroad Mayor Taron Margaryan expressed confidence that the RA Chamber of Trade and Industry in its turn will contribute to the expansion of cooperation frames between the Municipality of Yerevan and the private sector. “Today the Municipality of Yerevan carries out significant reforms directed at the improvement of urban economy management and the stimulation of mutually beneficial cooperation between the Municipality of Yerevan and the private sector is observed from this point of view. A number of successful projects have already been implemented in this direction. So, I am sure that the cooperation established between the Municipality and the Chamber of Trade and Industry will also be effective particularly regarding working out and implementation of investment and business projects, and will promote proportional development of the capital”, said Mayor Taron Margaryan.
Attaching importance to the implementation of investment programs with the business circles the Mayor also said that serious steps are taken in the capital today to improve business environment and to attract investments.”The Municipality of Yerevan is open and willing to discuss and support within its powers the implementation of investment programs.We shall be happy if private companies take part in the competitions for investment projects presented by us through the ties of the RA Chamber of Trade and Industry” stressed Taron Margaryan.
Expressing gratitude for warm reception the president of the RA Chamber of Trade and Industry Martin Sargsyan in his turn highly appreciated the constructive partner atmosphere existing in the relationship between the Municipality of Yerevan and the RA Chamber of Trade and Industry. “ The Municipality of Yerevan is really a reliable partner and we have had various opportunities to make certain of this, and I assure you, Mister Mayor, that the treaty to be signed will also contribute to mutually beneficial cooperation development between the Municipality of Yerevan and the business ties”, said Martin Sargsyan.
Within the scope of the meeting Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan and the president of the RA Chamber of Trade and Industry signed the Cooperation Treaty according to which the parties made an agreement to develop and strengthen the cooperation in the spheres of mutual interest.
Due to the signed treaty cooperation programs are to be implemented in the direction of small and medium entrepreneurship development and local manufacturing stimulation in Yerevan.
