 The draft decision to make changes in the budget of Yerevan of 2014 was approved at the first meeting of the third session of the Council of Elders of Yerevan. Highlighting the issue the Deputy Mayor Vahe Nikoyan outlined all those social and economic spheres where the additional budget means are to be directed. Turning to the issue of allotting additional means to provide the dwellers of emergency buildings with flats, Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan said that two more blocks of flats are to be built this year. By the end of 2015 the problem of providing the dwellers of the buildings with the 4th grade of emergency will have been solved.
"The successful finish of the program will give us the opportunity to solve the problem with the buildings with the 3rd grade of emergency", said the Mayor.
Answering the question given by the "Barev,Yerevan" faction about the construction of underground parking for the blocks of flats Mayor Taron Margaryan said that the dwellers don’t use the parking places at the blocks of flats and taking this fact into account this issue will be discussed with the residents in advance.
Afterwards, the Council of Elders approved the proposals to sign the treaty on asset management of the stocks of the closed joint stock company "Grigor Narekatsi" medical center, as well as the issue of investment in the CJSK "Policlinic N 19".
According to the decision of the Council of Elders, from this time on Yerevan will become member of the international network "Local government for stability".
Other suggestion of the factions "Prosperous Armenia" and "The Republican Party of Armenia" concerning the changes in the regulations was also approved by the Council of Elders.
At the end of the meeting it was decided to convene the next meeting on March 19.
