GOA-ADB Joint Projects Due In Various Sectors

Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received Asian Development Bank Central and West Asia Department Director Klaus Gerhauzer.
Welcoming the guest, the Prime Minister said, “We are pleased that the bilateral relations are deepening to cover ever new areas of cooperation.” The Premier said his government is ready to continue implementing new joint projects.
Pleased with the pace of cooperation with Armenia, Klaus Gerhauzer noted that some 750 million dollars had been invested in Armenia over the past 6-7 years. The next five-year partnership strategy is being discussed with the Government to be implemented in the following areas: urban development, water supply, energy security.
Klaus Gerhauzer noted that the ADB is ready to provide technical assistance in addition to financing programs.
In conclusion, the interlocutors referred to the North -South highway construction, cooperation in agriculture and other issues of mutual interest.
