 Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan and the Governor of El-Kuwait Sheikh Ali al-Jaber al-Sabah arrived in Yerevan with an official visit participated in the meeting-discussion the theme of which was "Investment possibilities of the city of Yerevan:. Within the frame of the meeting the large-scale investment and urban development projects aimed at the development of the capital were presented.
The head of the Yerevan Municipality Department of Development and Investment Programs presenting the proposals aimed at the development of the capital particularly of investment interest said that the Municipality actively cooperates with more than 50 cities and 7 international organizations and is willing to assist in the implementation of projects within its powers.
It was also noted that today the Municipality cooperates with the Armenian private companies to implement various investment programs in different spheres of urban economy. A presentation of urban development investment projects of Yerevan was arranged. The proposed projects were presented in 3D images. The director of "Yerevanproject" CJSC said that in case of business interest the Municipality would render corresponding support and more detailed description of the projects.
Getting acquainted with the projects Sheikh Ali al-Jaber al-Sabah expressed gratitude for the presentation and noted that the investment packages presented by Yerevan might interest the Kuwaiti investors and with this aim the projects would be presented to the Chamber of Trade and Industry and during the visit of Mayor Taron Margaryan to El-Kuwait they would discuss the details.
Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan stressed that today the Municipality works out new investment proposals in different spheres which might be of business interest. "Permanently studying the international experience and attaching importance to cooperation strengthening we are confident that the investment projects targeted at Yerevan development will be possible to put into life within a few years and to contribute this way to the attraction of investments in the capital", said the Mayor of Yerevan.
According to agreement made between the parties, a working team will be formed which will go on the activities aimed at the development of friendship and partnership between the two capitals,
