 Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received World Bank Regional Director Henry Keral. The meeting was attended by World Bank Yerevan Office Head Jean-Michel Happi.

“I am glad to meet and discuss the prospects of cooperation. We are eager to deepen and broaden our relations. In general, we can say that our cooperation has been fruitful so far,” Tigran Sargsyan said.

Thanking the Premier for reception, Henry Keral noted, “Your country’s partnership strategy was received well enough by the Executive Board of the World Bank, who praised your government’s recent efforts toward improving the competitiveness of the economy. As a result, assistance will be increased from year to year, reflecting the Bank’s confidence in the Government of Armenia. We want to compliment your team and look forward to continued cooperation over the next four years.”

The parties discussed the strategy of bilateral cooperation in 2014-2017. In this context, they touched upon the cooperation priorities for the next four years and arranged to clarify individual areas.
