 During the current working conference Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan referring to the steps taken in the direction of elimination of the defects found in the asphalting activities carried out by the program of capital construction of 2013, instructed to activate the process to finish it within determined time.
It was reported that in accordance with the determined schedule overhauling and current repairing of the asphalt cover in the streets and yard areas are going on by the annual program of 2013. The Mayor instructed to go on the control over the quality of the work and keep the process at permanent focus. It was instructed to make the process of crack and hole filling more active.
The head of the Department of Urban Development and Land Control reported that with the aim of keeping the ecological requirements during arrangement of building sites and implementation of the process of building itself, new approaches had been worked out. The Mayor also instructed to pay special attention to walling the areas adjacent to building sited with corresponding posters.
The representative of “Yerevan Jur” company reported that cleaning of rain drainage pipes is going on in the capital. In about 1100 places the process has already been over. Taron Margaryan instructed to keep the process under permanent control and present regular reports on the process.
Referring to the competitions for the organizations developing regular transportation of passengers by the vehicles of public use it was reported that the information on the terms of the competition is given regularly through the mass media and all possible means, but up today no applications for participation in the competition for servicing 23 routes has been received.
Regarding the operation of the system of e-timetables the head of ՞Technology Management Center of Yerevan՞ reported that of the 21 installed devices 19 ones have been operated. In the future another party of the equipment is expected to be imported.
The Mayor instructed to take appropriate measures to dismantle big advertisement boards in the small center after notifying in advance.
"In accordance with the determined schedule we should start the process of dismantling of big advertisement boards in the small center. All corresponding structures are to be involved in the process. After the process of dismantling is over we should carry out the improvement and well arrangement of the area in short time", said Taron Margaryan.
Regarding the boxes for suggestions being placed in the administrative districts of Yerevan the Mayor instructed to discuss the suggestions directed at the development of the capital by the residents and submit thorough initiatives of their implementation. Taron Margaryan also stressed that the best suggestions may be included in 2014 annual program.
Referring to the process of responding the phone calls received by the hot lines functioning in the corresponding subdivisions of the Municipality of Yerevan, municipality subordinated services and the staffs of the head of the administrative districts the head of the Department of Control reported that 203 and 102 phone calls had been received in the municipality subordinated structures and administrative districts correspondingly. The majority of the issues raised by the residents got positive solutions, 82 issues are being processed.
At the threshold of the Day of Independence, September 21, final preparations are being carried out in the capital. It was reported that festive events have been provided in various platforms in administrative districts and in educational and cultural centers. Yerevan will be also provided with corresponding decorations.
Referring to the activities directed at the creation of new lawns and to landscaping the head of the Department of nature Protection reported that the main part of the scheduled activities had been over.
It was noted that the process of refreshing the flowers where necessary and placement of flower compositions are still going on. It was also reported that this year the areas covered with flowers have increased 1,5 times and the volumes of lawns have increased by 13 hectares. Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed to carry out preparations for the arrangement of autumn tree planting.
