 Yerevan mayor Taron Margaryan visited the hostel in Vardashen. During the meeting with the residents the Mayor noted that he was aware of the existing problems and in the future years, within the frames of the programs of Yerevan development the issues raised by the residents living here will be gradually solved.
"Today Yerevan faces the problems rooted for 20-25 years. So it's natural that they can't be solved in a year", said Taron Margaryan adding that particularly concerning the hostels the Municipality first of all tries to solve the problem of their privatization.
In this context the flats in the hostel building at Vardashen 68a have already been given to the residents by the right of property and regarding the building 66a the Mayor informed the residents that presently certain work is being carried out to pass the building considered to be state-owned to the community and afterwards it will also be passed to the residents by the right of property.
In respond to the question of the residents concerning the improvement of the surrounding area and placement of a playground Mayor Taron Margaryan promised to fulfill it. "This year it will certainly not be possible to do it but I assure you that this area will be included in the program of complex yard improvement and next year we will together open another well-arranged yard and a playground in the capital", stressed Taron Margaryan.
The residents of the hostel thanked the Mayor for visiting them in person and taking action on the problems raised by them.
