 The Municipality of Yerevan together with "Austrian airlines", "SartRunning" and AIMS companies organized on June 9 the second "Yerevan Business Run 2013" races. The main aim of the event is to agitate healthy life style and to attract private sector in the programs of nature protection.
The race began in Abovyan street, from the segment adjacent to Charles Aznavour square and continued in Republic square, along Amiryan street, Mashtots and Sayat Nova avenues till the point of star and so three times: the race route has made up 10 kilometers.
About 30 companies from Yerevan and abroad participated in the charity race. Totally, more than 200 people took part in "Yerevan Business Run 2013". Two age groups of children participated in the race: the length of the route was 500 meters and 1000 meters.
By the initiative of the Municipality of Yerevan the children from Yerevan and marzes participated in the race were given the opportunity to tour free by "Yerevan City Tour" buses and get acquainted with the historical and cultural sights of the capital.
The runners occupied the third and second places in individual age groups of women and men were awarded with medals during the solemn ceremony of awarding, and those who occupied the honorary first place were awarded with watches by Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan.
As a result of team relay-race the runners of the fist and main prize-winner "Reso" insurance company were given the opportunity to participate in "Vienna Business Run" annual marathon. By the way, medals were given to all the participants of the race.
Expressing gratitude to the Municipality the participants attached importance to the participation of the private companies in ecological projects of the capital and expressed hope that the next year they will again have the opportunity to take part in the race and have their small contribution to Yerevan development. The money collected from the race will be directed to the reconstruction of one of the gardens of the capital.
