 On the instruction of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan, within the frames of various social projects implemented by the Municipality special attention is paid to the problems of family, maternity and children.
The program of supporting the families with three and more children is one of similar projects. On the event of the birth of the sixth child, little Mane, into the family of the member of "Artsiv mahapartner" unit, azatamartik Varuzhan Zakaryan, the head of the Department of Social Welfare of the Yerevan City Hall Ruzanna Zakaryan accompanied by the employee of the territorial social service visited their home. Congratulating the family on the baby’s birth on behalf of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan, Ruzanna Zakaryan handed the mother of the baby, Anush Sargsyan the one time allowance disbursed by the Municipality.
"This is a regular similar action implemented by the Municipality the aim of which is not only to grant social allowance but to show a special support to the families with three and more children and to promote birth rate increase as well", said the head of the Department of Social Welfare adding that such actions and long-lasting and such families get not only financial support but in the form of foodstuffs and other goods as well. Municipality allowance was also granted to Karine Arzumanyan who had become the mother of twins.
"This visit is a surprise for us, but our family have always felt the attention and support of the Municipality", said Anush Sargsyan expressing gratitude for unexpected support.
At this stage of the project of social aid to the families with three and more children the Municipality of Yerevan has provided allowance to about 70 families.
