Book Presentation in the Parliament

02.05.2013

On May 2 the presentation of the book “Mental Asylum or Hot Autumn” by the NA deputy Margarit Yesayan was held in the hall adjacent to the Session Hall of the National Assembly, which was the first fiction volume of the author with many years of journalistic biography. Margarit Yesayan’s fiction notes, stories and one novella, which were also presented in English, French and Russian, were included in the book.

The book, which was published by the author’s financial means, has charitable purposes, and the whole income, as Margarit Yesayan noted, would be given to one or several socially vulnerable families.

Margarit Yesayan said that she had written the book “Mental Asylum or Hot Autumn” during 4-5 years, now she had started writing two books, and one of them would again be a collection of stories, and the other one was dedicated to real stories based on the Armenian Genocide.

The RA National President Hovik Abrahamyan in his word thanked Maragrit Yesayan for the publication of Margarit Yesayan’s book and highly appreciated her parliamentary activities and role in the political, economic and public life of the country.

On the occasion of the publication of the book the Chairman of the Armenian Writers’ Union Levon Ananyan evaluated the author’s literary entry to the world of prose, noting that the 21st century, our life, the everyday life and concerns were presented in the collection of volumes.

Margarit Yesayan thanked the RA NA President Hovik Abrahamyan for organizing the presentation of the book in the legislative body and expressed hope that such presentations would be continuous in the NA and the deputy-authors’ works would be put on the readers’ tables.
