An interactive chess board has been opened in Charles Aznavour square

During his working tour in the administrative district of Kentron Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan visited Charles Aznavour square, got acquainted with the improvement and decoration activities going on here. Together with the vice-president of the RA Chess Federation Smbat Lputyan he also participated in the opening of the interactive chess board paced at the "Moskva" cinema.
Pointing out the importance of such innovations in the capital Taron Margaryan stressed that such interesting and interactive solutions are also important from educational point of view and can become a specific impetus to increasing interest towards chess. The Mayor also said that such solutions in external design will be long lasting and will complete all the administrative districts.
By the way, the chess board is not only decoration: everyone can get on the board with the surface of 30 sqm and replacing the figures play a game of chess.
This innovation which is a regular result of effective cooperation with the private sector has drawn the attention and admiration of the residents of Yerevan and its guests. The area is monitored by vidoe cameras.
