Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan participated in the solemn opening of the newly-built block of flats located at Sisakyan 22 in the administrative district of Achapnyak.
The residents of the damaged block N12 in Fuchik street, N 15 in Shinararnery street and of the 10 houses in Sari Tax, 18 damaged because of landslide, were celebrating their housewarming party.
The owners of the new flats were handed the keys personally by the Mayor of Yerevan.
Congratulating the residents Taron Margaryan stressed that the Municipality, attaching importance to the problem does its best to provide the residents of damaged homes with new comfortable flats as soon as possible.
"Each family should have a safe, comfortable flat. Today about 450 families are still waiting for that day. I assure that we will try to provide all those families with flats. I'd like to congratulate all of you and first of all the children playing merrily for they will play in this block without being afraid", in his speech stressed Mayor Taron Marharyan.
The Mayor was also hosted by one of the families, got acquainted with living conditions, wished the families peace and welfare.
This block of flats corresponding to modern standards was handed to the residents provided with all modern conveniences. It also has an alternative variant of power supply, an underground car parking place. The building is also convenient for disabled people.
Modern playing attractions were installed for children in the neighbouring area.
The residents expressed their gratitude to the Mayor for arranging the process in possibly short period, for ensuring their security and resettlement in comfortable conditions.
By the way, the residents chose their flats by drawing lots.
