RA NA President Receives the President of the NA House of Representatives of Belarus

On April 10 the RA NA President Hovik Abrahamyan received the delegation led by the President of the NA House of Representatives of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Andreychenko, who arrived in Armenia on the occasion of taking part in the solemn ceremony of assuming the Office of the RA President.

Welcoming the guests the NA President highly assessed the current level of the Armenian-Belarus relations and highlighted the further enlargement of cooperation in all spheres. In Hovik Abrahamyan’s word, the inter-parliamentary relations also develop well, to which promote the productive activity of the Inter-Parliamentary Committee, the mutual visits and contacts. Mr Abrahamyan highlighted the cooperation in international arena, especially, in international parliamentary structures. The NA President talked about the importance of economic cooperation, noting that it is necessary to reach the economic cooperation between the two countries to the level of political cooperation.

Thanking for warm reception the President of the NA House of Representatives of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Andreychenko congratulated his counterpart on the occasion of the convincing victory and reelection of the RA President Serzh Sargsyan in presidential elections, which witnessed of the people’s high trust. He emphasized the inter-parliamentary cooperation and the exchange of legislative experience. The effective work of the Inter-Palriamentary Committee on Cooperation was highly appreciated, which could greatly promote the deepening of parliamentary relations, the development of legal-contractual base and stability of inter-regional cooperation. Mr Andreychenko highlighted the cooperation in international structures, in the spheres of economy, science, energy and agriculture, noting that the two countries have non-used potential of trade-economic development, which can be useful and effective for the two countries.

During the meeting other issues were also discussed.
